A growing multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an Ecologist to join its expanding environmental team based near Winchester. Working across infrastructure, rail, utilities and development projects, this business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions across the UK.

This Ecologist opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative team on a wide range of ecological surveys, assessments and reporting projects, while supporting clients through planning and environmental compliance requirements. The Ecologist will work closely with environmental specialists, engineers and project teams on both small and large-scale schemes.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertaking habitat and protected species surveys
• Producing PEAs, EIAs and ecological reports
• Supporting biodiversity net gain assessments
• Advising project teams on ecological constraints
• Assisting with project delivery and client liaison

Requirements:

• Previous consultancy experience as an Ecologist
• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or similar
• Good understanding of UK wildlife legislation
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
• Ability to commute to or live near the Winchester office
• Strong report writing and communication skills
