The Opportunity As an Air Freight Operator, you'll play a key role in managing international air freight shipments from start to finish, ensuring the highest levels of customer service, operational efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing import and export air freight shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Liaising with airlines, overseas agents, hauliers, customs authorities, and customers
- Preparing and processing all relevant shipping and customs documentation
- Providing shipment updates and exceptional customer service to clients
- Monitoring shipment progress and proactively resolving any issues
- Ensuring all operational activities comply with industry regulations and company procedures
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Previous experience within Air Freight Operations
- Strong understanding of import and export procedures
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Experience using freight forwarding systems would be advantageous
- Up to £37,000 basic salary
