We are recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations within a busy engineering and fabrication environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive manufacturing professional who enjoys leading teams, driving performance, and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As Production Supervisor, you will take ownership of shop floor activities, ensuring production schedules are achieved while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will act as the link between operational planning and manufacturing execution, providing leadership, guidance, and support to production teams.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily shop floor operations, allocating work in line with production schedules, customer priorities, and workforce capabilities to ensure on-time delivery.
Monitor production performance, workflow, quality, material usage, and output, proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact delivery, cost, safety, or customer satisfaction.
Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with specifications, drawings, work instructions, and quality standards, while maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Supervise, motivate, and develop production staff, supporting training, skills development, cross-training initiatives, and day-to-day performance management.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Quality, and Technical teams to resolve production challenges, support new projects, and communicate operational priorities and risks.
About You

The Ideal Candidateman

Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Leader, or similar leadership role.
A background within engineering, fabrication, sheet metal, welding, or a related manufacturing environment.
Strong people management and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
Experience managing production schedules, workflow planning, and quality standards.
Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality within a manufacturing environment.
