Full Time - Permanent

Monday to Friday Office Hours

Basic Salary: £45,000.00 to £50,000.00 Per Annum

Location: Skelmersdale, Lancashire

Due to further expansion plans, our market leading client is seeking an enthusiastic & dynamic Health and Safety Manager to join their highly successful business and support the board of Directors as Health and Safety Manager on a Full Time Permanent basis.

As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking on a leading role, become responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety onsite
  • Drive and innovate Health and Safety practices at the site as a Health and Safety Manager in line with Company objectives and timescales. 
  • Dedicated and motivated in achieving ISO45001 certification in line with current company achievements
  • Improve and develop current policies and procedures and ensure measures are implemented to achieving standards
  • Organise and hold Health and Safety meetings in order to communicate new strategies
  • Liaising with regulatory organisations and submit reports in a timely manner as a Health and Safety Manager
  • Work and maintain relationships with internal and external colleagues as a Health and Safety Manager
  • Develop and maintain a culture of continuous Health and Safety improvements and practices. 

As an Health and Safety Manager, you MUST have:

  • A Minimum NEBOSH certificate or NVQ equivalent
  • A high level of knowledge around Health and Safety legislations and practices
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 Years experience in a Health and Safety role as ideally a Health and Safety Manager. 
  • A Chemical and Manufacturing background would be highly desirable as a Health and Safety Manager.
