Emtech Recruitment is working with a well-established and highly respected engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer with relevant post-graduate experience to join its growing London team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the commercial, retail, residential, and industrial sectors, contributing to the design and delivery of infrastructure solutions for a wide variety of clients.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and statutory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design infrastructure solutions for commercial, retail, residential, and industrial developments, including SuDS drainage systems and highways designed to adoptable and DMRB standards.
- Liaise with statutory bodies, including water authorities, highways departments, and local drainage authorities.
- Produce technical designs using industry-standard software such as Site 3D, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, and AutoCAD.
- Attend design meetings, site meetings, and undertake site inspections as required.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other consultants, providing technical advice and guidance where necessary.
- Deliver projects in line with agreed budgets, programmes, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or BEng in Civil Engineering.
- Relevant post-graduate experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment.
- Experience in infrastructure and drainage design for development projects.
- Proficiency in relevant civil engineering design software.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
