TECHNICAL OPERATOR VACANCIES - TELFORD (SHROPSHIRE)

We are looking for 4 Technical Operators to join an FMCG manufacturing business in Telford (Shropshire), these positions are all permanent positions from day 1 and the starting salary is paying between £35,000 - £36,500 per annum.

You will be required to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour days and nights shifts) and the working hours are 6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am 

The hiring manager is seeking people who have come from the Food Manufacturing, Packaging, Print, Plastics or Pharmaceutical sector and have a minimum of 3 years experience in one of these industries.

The on boarding process would involve you completing an on-line SHL assessment, as well as being invited to the factory for an on site interview and a full factory tour.

These roles would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked as a Manufacturing Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Machine Setter Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter or Skilled Machinist within an FMCG manufacturing environment.

The Recruitment Process We are looking to move quickly with these roles, and as part of the companies interview process you will be required to do the following:

1. Online Assessment: Short initial test to gauge technical aptitude.
2. Assessment & Hiring Event: Successful candidates will be invited to the factory in Telford for a 2-hour session including an interview, technical discussion, and a factory tour. 
   

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Excellence: Monitor and operate advanced machinery to maintain seamless production runs.
• Technical Problem Solving: Identify machine faults early using root-cause analysis and process fault trees, minimising downtime.
• Maintenance: Perform routine precision cleaning and preventative maintenance.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks to ensure products meet our gold-standard benchmarks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the wider shift team to hit and exceed production targets.

What You Bring:

• Experience: Previous experience as a Machine Setter, Process Operator, or Manufacturing Technician. Experience within FMCG is highly desirable.
• Technical Aptitude: A natural ability to solve technical issues and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Precision: You are someone who notices the details and values efficiency.
• Location: You must live within a 25-mile radius of Telford (Shropshire) to ensure a reliable commute for your shifts.
