Job Title: Plant Mechanic / Fitter
Location: Bury, BL9
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday 7:00am - 12:00pm
Pay: £16 - £18 per hour DOE
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Plant Mechanic/Fitter to join our team in Bury. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of plant machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly and effectively.
- Repair and maintain shredders, shovels, and elevators as part of site equipment.
- Work to high standards in line with health and safety regulations.
- Keep accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Support team members and contribute to a safe, productive workplace.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic or Fitter.
- Strong understanding of plant machinery, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
