EC&I Commissioning Engineer

We're looking for an experienced CE&I Commissioning Engineer to support a nuclear project in Cumbria on a 12-month contract, covering the full commissioning lifecycle with a strong focus on SCADA (Wonderware InTouch) and Rockwell ControlLogix PLC systems. The role is inside IR45 paying 50 P/H
The role
- Witnessing vendor works tests (FAT/SAT) and producing test evidence
- Preparing plant commissioning test specifications
- Early inspection of site installation to enable system handovers
- Executing testing activities throughout the IPC commissioning phase
- Fault finding and implementing practical solutions
- Initiating and implementing FOBs
- Validating Working Level Instructions (WLIs)
- Applying and removing Temporary Commissioning Aids (TCAs)
Essential experience / qualifications
- SCADA experience, specifically Wonderware InTouch
- PLC programming experience, specifically Rockwell ControlLogix
- Knowledge of control system network architecture
- Full software/systems lifecycle experience (design → coding → testing → install/config → documentation) with robust QA
- Proven nuclear CE&I commissioning background
- Minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an engineering-related discipline
- Project management knowledge (ideally APM membership)
- Strong Excel capability (calculations / trackers / reporting)
- IOSH Working Safely / Managing Safely
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- ECS Supervisory Card
