Our client, a local authority in the planning and buildings sector, is currently seeking an Area Team Leader/Building Control Officer Class 3H RBI to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing and managing building control operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Providing expert advice on town planning and building control matters
Conducting site inspections and assessments to ensure building projects meet safety and regulatory standards
Preparing and presenting reports on building control activities and findings
Liaising with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression
Ensuring confidentiality and adherence to all relevant legal and contractual requirements
Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies
Supporting team members and facilitating effective communication within the team
Job Requirements:
Experience in town planning and building control
Strong understanding of planning regulations and building standards
Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and assessments
Excellent report writing and communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to ensure confidentiality
Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple projects concurrently
Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to provide two years of references/work history
