IT Support Lead

Location: Gloucestershire (office based - some flex)

Overview

An established and growing technology business is seeking an experienced IT Support Lead to oversee internal IT operations and support the continued development of the company's technology infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role combining technical support, systems administration, project delivery, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and internal teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT services across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company's internal IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to users across the business.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and availability.
  • Lead IT improvement projects and technology initiatives.
  • Manage cloud, network, desktop, and server environments.
  • Maintain IT documentation, processes, and procedures.
  • Work with third-party suppliers and technology partners.
  • Support the implementation of new systems and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and security standards.
  • Assist with planning and delivery of future IT strategy.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an IT support, systems administration, or IT operations role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft and cloud-based environments.
  • Experience supporting networks, servers, desktops, and business applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and deliver practical solutions.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
