TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Primary School in Hengoed that is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their Specialist Resource Base (SRB) team. The school promotes an inclusive and supportive ethos, providing pupils with a nurturing environment where they are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.

The school is looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September. The successful Level 2 Teaching Assistant will support pupils within the SRB who require additional behavioural and emotional support, working closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging learning experiences and effective behaviour management strategies.

The successful Level 2 Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

• Experience working within an SRB, ALN or specialist provision

• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour

• A proactive and hands-on approach to supporting learning

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, resilient and adaptable attitude
