Your responsibilities as Butchery Manager

• Oversee daily production and retail activities, ensuring consistently high standards
• Lead, coach and develop the existing team while supporting training and knowledge sharing
• Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships to maintain availability and minimise waste
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards across all areas of the operation
• Support retail customers with expert product guidance while helping grow trade accounts
• Assist with operational planning, equipment oversight and community-based activities when required

 
What we’re looking for in a Butchery Manager

• Extensive full carcass preparation and meat processing experience across multiple species
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a similar environment
• Strong knowledge of stock management, ordering and inventory control processes
• Experience training and developing junior team members or apprentices
• Background working within traditional, independent, wholesale or catering supply environments

 
Working hours: 40–45 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with two days off per week.
