The school supports pupils with diagnosed profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Many pupils also have additional needs including autism (ASD), ADHD, sensory impairments, and physical difficulties.
The Role
As a PMLD Teacher, you will lead a class of pupils with complex SEN needs, delivering highly differentiated and individualised teaching to support progress in learning, communication, independence, and emotional development.

- Planning and delivering personalised SEN learning programmes
- Leading the classroom and managing SEN support staff effectively
- Tracking pupil progress against EHCP outcomes and SEN targets
- Contributing to annual reviews and written reports
- Creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Supporting pupils with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation needs
- Working collaboratively with families and multi-disciplinary professionals
- Contributing to wider key stage and whole-school SEN development
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with pupils with SEN
- Strong understanding of differentiated and inclusive teaching approaches
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
